Article II

Membership:

Section 1.     Classification of Membership

The three (3) classes of membership shall be:

  1. Active:  An active member shall be a Certified Tumor Registrar and/or any person whose primary occupation is involved with any or all facets of cancer registry work and who is employed and/or resides in the six state New England region (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont).  An active member in good standing shall be entitled to all membership privileges including the right to vote, hold office or chair a committee.
     

  2. Associate:  An associate member shall be any person interested in the purpose of CRANE who does not meet the qualifications of active membership or any institution or organization interested in the purposes of CRANE.  An associate member shall not vote, hold office or chair a committee but may serve on a committee.
     

  3. Honorary:  Any person who has made a significant contribution to the profession of cancer registry administration or rendered distinguished service in the profession or its related fields may be elected to honorary membership by petition to and recommendation by the Executive Board, and subsequent approval of three-fourths of the voting members at a general meeting.  Honorary members shall be exempt from the payment of annual dues.  They shall not vote, hold office or chair a committee, but may serve on a committee.

Section II.  Application for Membership

Application for membership shall be submitted in a manner prescribed by the Executive Board together with applicable fees and/or assessments.
