Job Description:
Work in conjunction
with other State Registry staff and
contractors to meet NPCR and NAACCR
national standards for data quality,
completeness and timeliness. Duties
include but are not limited to
ensuring the quality and complete
processing of incoming data,
consolidating duplicate records,
assist in Pathology and Death
Clearance, and maintain tracking
systems and logs.
This position will
also provide training to reporting
facility as well as provide
technical support for reporting
facilities and other cancer
programs. Oversight of contracted
personnel is expected and
supervision of other staff is
possible. Development of policies
and procedures as well as making
needed revisions will be required.
Participation in special studies and
research is likely. Current research
includes linkage with All Payers
Claims Database (APCD).
Required
Qualifications:
Certification as a
tumor registrar (CTR) is required.
Eight years combination of
education, training, and/or
experience in a cancer registry.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Central registry
experience is a plus.
Education
Qualifications:
Some post-secondary
education is preferred.
